We are looking for experienced Preschool Directors with more than 3 years in a ECE Director position.The Preschool Director is responsible for operational oversight and management of day to day functions of the Learning Links program at one site location to ensure Learning Links Preschool fulfills its philosophy and mission as a high quality inclusive early childhood education program.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

  • Supervise day-to-day operations of Learning Links program to ensure quality and compliance standards are met; manage all aspects of title 22 licensing requirements, compliance policies, and related staff training

  • Manage facilities to ensure safety and cleanliness of the preschool and partner with facilities teams for general safety, maintenance and repairs; including planning for annual replacement of furniture, fixtures and equipment

  • Manage parent/family relations to establish and grow meaningful relationships with parents throughout the school year; orient new families, manage parent communications, supervise Parent Advisory Committee projects and facilitate meetings to engage parents in preschool activities.

  • Manage preschool staffing at specific school site and partner with HR team to plan, recruit and onboard new preschool staff

  • Partner with Director of Inclusive Early Childhood Education and HR to manage ECE/ECSE college relations, internships, and volunteer programs

  • Support a positive work environment for teachers and learning environment for children; create a culture of learning, teamwork, problem solving, reflective practice, and innovation

  • Manage teacher performance and conduct on-going performance evaluations, mentoring, training and support for all center staff

  • Responsible for completing bi-weekly payroll, approving, and tracking staff time off

  • Support enrollment process from start to finish, including tours, customer engagement and cultivation of new prospects, develop strategies for recruitment, and knowledge of waiting list and current enrollment schedule

  • Responsible for preschool site budget management and forecast targets; manage preschool cost spending, revenue and personnel budget

  • Manage preschool team in continuous improvement through Quality Rating Improvement Systems (QRIS), DRDP assessments, and the tracking of student progress

  • Partner with Managing Director and Director of Inclusive Early Childhood Education to manage curriculum development and classroom instruction to facilitate inclusive classroom learning activities that support children's social and emotional well-being

  • Oversee the scheduling and preparation for parent conferences in coordination with teachers and services providers

  • Oversee preschool administration and systems; implement administrative policies and procedures, update processes, and maintain preschool database systems

  • Distribute preschool handbook and calendar on an annual basis. Ensure revisions and policies and procedures are communicated to staff and families as scheduled

  • Support Non-Public School certification and partner with Director of Inclusive Early Childhood Education to prepare for annual site visits and certification

  • Collaborate with Children's Therapy teams to coordinate services and best care for children and families who receive pediatric therapy in an inclusive setting

  • Lead regularly scheduled staff and 1:1 meetings to provide consistent communication and training for staff

  • Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's required and Master's preferred in Early Childhood Education or Early Childhood Special Education

  • Required 24 ECE units with 3 units of Supervision, or Bachelor's in Child Development with a Supervisor Permit through CTCC

  • Experience teaching, and managing or directing a preschool (or equivalent experience)

  • Experience with an inclusive education model

HIRING REQUIREMENTS:

  • Valid California Driver's License/ID

  • Clean Driving Record (if applicable)

  • Proof of negative TB test results

  • Verification of occupational physical clearance

  • Pass a criminal fingerprint clearance

  • 18 years of age or job permit clearance
