We are looking for:

Part-Time (school year) Preschool Lead Teacher:

Hours: Monday through Friday 8:00am - noon

Pay Rate: Starting at $20.00/hr

Essential Functions:

• Set up equipment and supplies for daily use.

• Plan and execute preschool curriculum.

• Instruct and supervise participants.

• Interact with children in various activities.

• Maintain communication with participants and parents.

• Obtain a list of medications, control and administer based on written consent.

• Observe behavior, assess appropriateness, and apply behavior management techniques.

• Provide a high quality of customer service in a professional manner to the internal customer that will facilitate team building and exceptional customer service to the external customer.

• Follow the Deerfield Park District policies, procedures, and guidelines.

• Maintain good safety awareness and follow all safety guidelines and procedures.

• Attends meetings, in-service trainings and conferences pertaining to child development and management, including reading as much material as possible relative to improvement of job performance.

• Works on special park district events pertaining to Preschool programs.

• Attends Preschool staff meetings whenever possible.

Requirements:

• Love working with children

• Patient and flexible

• Two or more years of early childhood work experience

• Appropriate certification to maintain DCFS certification for Preschool

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent

• Strong communication skills

• Enjoys having fun

• Team player
