Why this role is important to us :

We are looking for a PreSales - Senior Manager who will lead a team focused on front-office workflows (everything pre-trade) to effectively showcase our investment platform capabilities to the market. You will work closely with sales teams and help them make optimal decisions about their approach to opportunities, and explain how SimCorp supports the newest industry trends.

As there will be management responsibilities, we are looking for someone to coordinate activities within the presales team, resourcing and travel for all sales opportunities. You will be a key liaison with product teams on providing market feedback and staying up-to-date on the many new developments being built within the platform. You will coordinate with teams across the globe for shared intelligence and assistance on deals where required SME resources sit globally.

What you will be responsible for:

  • Allocate technical resources for each business growth opportunity.

  • Development of team capabilities and ensuring the right career paths to create a dynamic presales organization.

  • High employee engagement and a common culture / 'sense of belonging' to the business.

  • A culture carrier for the New York office.

  • Developing, implementing and maintaining presales tools, processes and methodologies.

  • Actively participate in deal reviews and general qualification with the sales teams using established sales best practices.

  • Developing presales intelligence to support ongoing improvement efforts.

What we value (our requirements)

  • Strong knowledge and competitive insights into buy-side technology

  • Knowledge/experience on the market environment and its structure, trends, challenges, and specificities (including clients, prospects, and competition) and share related messaging based on those insights.

  • Familiar with various types of financial instruments: from vanilla securities and derivatives to complex structured instruments (static data, trade life cycle, valuation);

  • Capability to work well under pressure on multiple tasks/projects with tight deadlines;

  • Great empathy and strengths in working with clients as well as internal and external partners;

  • Excellent leadership skills and ability to coach, motivate and engage employees; a previous experience as a manager is a plus;

  • Creating and delegating challenging tasks to further the development of the individual employees

The role allows for flexibility including the option to work from home up to 3 days a week.
