The Pre Sales Operations Manager is responsible for managing and supporting sales processes between the internal operational resource teams and the Sales Management Team for all new and existing customer opportunities and requests. This position will support/monitor regional new business opportunities including process/project management planning, pricing management on new and existing business, small package quoting, implementation process optimization, new business data analysis, and sales/operations training. This position is dedicated to helping our organization bring on new business effectively and professionally in support of company goals.


Support, monitor, and perform Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

Project Management

  • Approve, monitor and report on all regional projects and timelines

  • Ensure resource availability across region to support projects

  • Supports and maintain focus on region and organization objectives through project scopes

  • Monitors and ensures the completion of QVF and customer profiles

  • Point of escalation for pre sales team

  • Immediately resolves risks and challenges in projects

  • Works with WINA Program Director on multi operating company implementations and exiting customers

Sales Enablement

  • Small Package Quoting

  • Understand quote opportunities in terms of customer quality requirements, exceptions to quotes, timing, costs, risks, features, competition and any other area impacting quote content

  • Determine and apply liabilities to quotes

  • Thoroughly inspect customer blueprints, samples, and/or specifications to accurately identify and prepare for quotation

  • Work with sales to influence final proposal in the quote submission process

  • Ensure and report on quotations completed through SAP

Data Strategy

  • Review overall profitability on opportunities for proper ROI based on Scope of Work

  • Manages sales and implementation workflow processes to increase efficiency

  • Facilitate an organization of continuous improvement

  • Price Monitoring

  • Determining and supporting Implementation Project Manager on project cost factors impacting profitability (ie. COG & Freight, resource hours, travel expenses)

  • Provide new business gap analysis from multiple data points

  • Supports Post Sales with data communication

Other duties may be assigned.


  • Bachelor's degree in Business Mgmt., other related field, or equivalent 5 years of industry work experience

  • Five years' sales or sales management experience in a business to business environment.

  • Experience in cost accounting/operations roles, a plus.


  • Manage and mentor several employees across the region

  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.

  • Oversee staffing/recruiting/training of direct reports, and understands big picture company goals and how they are supported by individual success.

  • Strong work ethic and drive for success.

  • Strong orientation towards teamwork and flexibility towards changing business needs

  • Conduct performance reviews, coaching, and guidance to direct reports.

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions

  • Strong written communication and presentation skills to convey information to employees through e-mail and to document processes and procedures.

  • Organizational skills to ensure good time management and timely progression through projects with focus on sales and customer service (internal/external) focus

  • Ability to prioritize duties and manage work requests coming from various sources.

  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy of work products.

  • Fully proficient in the use of Excel and other Microsoft products WORD and Outlook. Knowledge of SAP and/or Activant P21 a plus.

  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
