Manage customer artwork and specifications as assigned; communicating with customers pertaining to printability issues i.e. color, registration and design options. Understand the functions of prepress activities including the purchasing of gravure bases, cylinders engravings, coating plates and necessary tooling.
Review and prep all customer artwork and specifications to determine production capabilities
Create specifications for any artwork
Research/analyze information supplied and determine/implement changes if needed to artwork with press capabilities in mind.
Communicate effectively with customers, and review preliminary and final graphics
Work with outside graphic houses to provide accurate proofs
Work with internal and external resources on Color drawdown's for customer approval
Provide necessary and accurate documentation (templates, blueprints, customer spec screens, etc.) and information to production to meet the customer requirements
Maintain customer specification files, production files, AS400 system and archive files according to ISO standard procedures
Work with PPD to integrate appropriate artwork and product specifications into the validation process and assist in the setup of trials and special orders
Work closely with production and other appropriate functions supporting Amcor business
Assist in purchase of tooling necessary to complete customer submittals and communicate needs for plates and cylinders
Work with Marketing on competitive sample analysis
Provide support and backup as needed or assigned

Knowledge and Experience
Industrial experience with gravure and flexographic printing systems is acceptable in lieu of a degree
3+ years of experience in technical manufacturing along with knowledge of printing industry systems
Formal training in database management, page layout, photo manipulation and illustration software is required
