Performs machine operated and manual tasks related plate making.
Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Output plates using predefined process plans in the Prinergy workshop system.
Update job statuses in Qprep and complete digital timesheet.
Stock supplies on shelves; load plates into the trendsetter, monitor chemistry levels for plate processors and refill as needed.
Remove and sort plates by job, punch plates and deliver to pressroom.
Clean and maintain plating line equipment per procedures and plating area.
Watch for platesetter errors and notify shift leader if they occur.
Assist in the production and sortation of DAL cards as required
This is an entry-level position that requires a willingness to learn all of the necessary skills. The candidate must have excellent interpersonal skills; be detail-oriented; possess good organizational skills; display cooperative spirit and good decision making abilities; must be self-motivated and be able to work both independently and as part of a team with a sense of urgency to meet established deadlines. Basic printing knowledge a plus.
Be at least 18 years of age.
Able to stand for long periods of time.
