Schedule: Monday to Friday

Monday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm

Tuesday to Friday 10:00 am to 6:30 pm

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Picks up samples from accessioning and sorts samples into appropriate racks.
2.Answers phone and directs calls appropriately
3.Unpacks and stores reagents and supplies
4.Inventories and orders warehouse supply items
5.Sorts samples and distributes them to the appropriate setup hood. Manages specimen library within established time frames.
6.Decontaminates work areas as designated.
7.Performs waived tests under supervision 8. Seeks specimens as needed
9.Maintains work area in clean and organized condition.
10. Follows all PPE requirements.
11. Maintains designated laboratory equipment.
12. Performs QA/QC duties as assigned (eyewash checks, temperature readings etc...)
13. Loads urines onto Atlas for urinalysis.
14. Resolves unverified pending list for occult bloods and urinalysis.
15. Inoculates appropriate microbiology media based on site given.
16. Prepares samples for processing i.e. tissue grinders, centrifuging.
17. Credits unacceptable / duplicate test requests, knows what sites and specimens are acceptable for testing.
18. Places anaerobic culture plates in appropriate bags.
19. Loads blood bottles into Bactec machine.
20. Prints and separates worksheets.
21. Puts culture plates in incubators.
22. Prepares concentrates and trichrome slides for ova and parasites.
23. Prepares samples for DNA probes.
24. Prepares malaria smears.
25. Prepares tubes for Giardia antigens and cryptosporidium EIA.
26. Performs and finalizes occult blood results.
27. Uses various laboratory computer systems for labeling, inquiry, crediting, and resulting as needed. 28. Disposes of biohazardous and chemical waste.
29. Completes PAL forms appropriately.
30. Provides input regarding procedures, training manual, and checklists.
31. Assists with department quality and process improvement projects.
32. Sets up media and supplies for assigned work area.
33. Completes training checklists and competency testing appropriately.
34. Discards specimens weekly.
35. All other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

VIEW JOBS 1/16/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-04-16T00:00 Job Description In the Nurse Manager role you will be responsible for providing nursing care and services in accordance with CVS Health policies, procedures and all applicable accreditation, federal, state, and local regulations. Apply appropriate ethical, legal, confidentiality and advocacy principles to the planning and delivery of patient care. Challenge your personal clinical nursing (RN) skills by receiving continuous training on leading edge technology and clinical requirements in specialty infusion. Then transfer that knowledge to your team. Provide direct patient care as needed. * Review nursing service and billing reports to ensure accuracy, researches variances and develops appropriate action plans when indicated to reach budget/goals. * Monitor all performance improvement indicators and any risk management activities as they relate to nursing and/or the overall branch operations. * Work with pharmacy leadership and branch manager to jointly lead daily branch operations including staffing and labor costs, budgetary and financial reporting, and other components of clinical and operation management. Roll-out implementation of new policies, programs and follow-up of nursing programs in the branch. * Develop and recommends changes as necessary to ensure effective and efficient communication among infusion team. * Ensure quality efficient nursing operations through appropriate direction, mentorship, and leadership. * Responsible for hiring, mentoring, evaluating, supervising and discipline of nursing personnel, and may delegate these tasks as appropriate to nursing supervisors or other branch nursing leadership. * Lead nursing staffing through a territory management plan utilizing a flexible staffing ratio of full-time, per diem and agency nurses to improve departmental efficiencies and effectiveness * Assist with didactic and clinical hands-on training and education, competency assessments and related documentation, communication, and action planning provided to nursing staff. Prepare and present in-services for entire infusion staff in conjunction with pharmacy and branch leadership. * Provide clinical support to the sales team as needed as it pertains to the production of new clinical programs and/or marketing activities to physicians, nursing agencies, and referral sources. Collaborates with pharmacy staff to develop, monitor and evaluate goals of patient therapy. * Responsible for the development and management of strategic agency relationships including educational assistance and agency billing. * Participate in on call as indicated by staffing and business needs. * Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Certification and re-certification expenses can be reimbursed for eligible RNs such as Certified Registered Nurse of Infusion (CRNI®)! Required Qualifications * Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in appropriate state of practice is required; additional licensure may be required in multi-state service areas. * Minimum three years of infusion related experience and two years of supervisor or management experience. * Valid and current driver's license and auto insurance. * Current CPR certification.
