Requirements


Prep Cook Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine kitchen tasks.
  • Follow the prep list created to plan duties.
  • Label and stock all ingredients on shelves so they can be organized and easily accessible.
  • Measure ingredients and seasonings to be used in cooking.
  • Prepare cooking ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and other meal prep.
  • Set up workstations and ingredients so that food can be prepared according to recipes.
  • Undertake basic cooking duties, such as reducing sauces and parboiling food.
  • Prepare simple dishes, such as salads and entrees.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and taking out trash.
  • Ensure that all food and other items are stored properly.
  • Comply with nutrition and sanitation guidelines.
  • Perform other kitchen duties as assigned.
Prep Cook Qualifications / Skills:
  • Knowledge of health and safety rules in a kitchen
  • Knowledge of basic cooking techniques
  • Organizational skills
  • Patience
  • Manual dexterity
  • Communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Very good physical condition and endurance
Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Training from a culinary school is an asset
  • Proven experience as a prep cook

This Employee Partner supports a la carte and private event food production. In addition, s/he maintains consistent food preparation and plate presentation. The Prep Cook also maintains a clean and safe work environment at all times of the day, helping to ensure the safety of fellow Employee Partners.</p><p>Compensation: $18 to $28 depending on experience</p><p>Responsibilities:</p><ul><li><p>Responsible for the opening, set-up and operation of food stations.</p></li><li><p>Preparation of and storage of all food items necessary to operate kitchen in adherence with quality standards.</p></li><li><p>Communicate with Chef(s) when special produce is needed.</p></li><li><p>Assist fellow Employee Partners. Be aware of team members and the environment and participate as a member of the team.</p></li><li><p>Because of the fluctuating demands of the Clubs operation, it may be necessary that each Employee perform a multitude of different functions therefore, as an essential part of your job, you will be expected to help others when the occasion arises, just as other Employees are expected to help you.</p></li><li><p>Adhere to all of the various company, club and department written mandatory standards of operations, policies and procedures, manuals, memos, oral instructions, etc.</p></li><li><p>Be able to work at an efficient pace to keep up with business needs.</p></li><li><p>Be able to follow instructions.</p></li><li><p>Responsible for maintaining good conduct and safe working habits while in all areas and assuring others are acting safely.</p></li><li><p>Attendance at daily line-up and participating as requested.</p></li><li><p>Wearing a clean and neat uniform that follows ClubCorp and your property uniform standards daily.</p></li></ul><p>Job Qualifications:</p><ul><li><p>Previous food experience preferred</p></li><li><p>Working knowledge of broiler, pantry and sauté stations.</p></li><li><p>Previous Country Club experience a plus</p></li><li><p>Required long periods of time on your feet</p></li></ul> Clubcorp Club Operations, Inc.
