Preop/Pacu Nurse Manager

We are looking for a Pre-Op PACU Manager to join our new surgery center at The Villages, FL! Excellent benefits and work-life balance including paid holidays and no weekend work.

SUPERVISOR: ASC Director

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

• Current FL Registered Nurse License

• Current PALS, BLS and ACLS certifications required

• Minimum of Two years Preop/PACU nursing experience

• Management experience preferred

OVERALL RESPNSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the pre-op & PACU departments.

• Communication skills must be a strong asset.

• Collaborate with: Anesthesia, Other Department Managers, Administrator, Physicians, Physician Offices, Scheduling

SPECIFIC TASKS:

• Floor coverage in pre-op or PACU

• Participate in periodic inspections as necessary with Quality/Risk Management/Infection Control/Administrator/Life Safety. Completes Incident Reports as indicated. Participates in writing/performing QIP studies.

• Monitor and control staff schedules.

• Schedule/conduct and assist with recruitment and training of staff as well as discipline of staff.

• Provide information/education from the corporate level and the center level to the department staff in huddles or communications.

• Oversee Inventory of supplies in collaboration with MM.

• Maintain department policy and procedures as defined by Surgery Partners.

• Timecard verification of staff weekly for payroll.

• Perform annual reviews of all department staff.
