Premium Auditor responsibilities include:

  • Individually scheduling appointments with clients to obtain necessary information

Qualifications for the ideal Independent Contractor:

  • Act with professionalism and urgency

  • Ability to observe and evaluate business operations and write recommendations

  • Excellent skills in time management, verbal /written communications, and web-based applications

  • A functional home office including a laptop (suggested but not required)

  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

  • Bookkeeping or accounting experience is helpful

  • Requires basic knowledge and education in premium auditing

Learn more at Job Description Conduent Payment Integrity Solutions performs in depth pharmacy audits on behalf of our healthcare payer clients. The Pharmacy Claims Auditor, will be tasked with examining a wide variety of pharmacy records against our client's pharmacy claim data to ensure billed pharmacy claims are being accurately submitted; conducting onsite audits as a client representative. General Scope * Builds knowledge of the organization, processes and customers. * Requires knowledge and experience in own discipline; still acquiring higher level of knowledge and skills. * Receives a moderate level of guidance and direction. * Moderate decision making authority guided by policies, procedures, and business operations protocol. Primary Responsibilities May perform one or more of the following duties: * Examine and interpret pharmacy records against submitted claim data for potential discrepancies * Utilize specific client instructions, federal and state regulations and standards of practice to properly access pharmacy documentation * Research board of pharmacy regulations as well as state and federal laws as they relate to prescription requirements and pharmacy practices * Respond to pharmacy calls in regards to audit results * Deal with clients periodically to report audit results * Conduct Onsite and Desktop and Credentialing Audits in a professional and respectful manner * Use prescription knowledge to review pharmacy submitted documentation against submitted claim data * Assess, and produce detailed descriptions of pharmacy operations and procedures * Make confirmation calls to pharmacies prior to audit date * Personally handle audit reschedules * Call Center Assistance: Covering incoming calls as needed * Process incoming and outgoing correspondence as required * Must be able to stand for long periods of time (up to 8 hours) * Must be able to lift heavy boxes containing prescription records * Other duties and responsibilities as assigned Required Skills * National CPhT Certification through Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) * High School Diploma or equivalency * 5 years retail pharmacy experience * Long Term Care or Infusion pharmacy experience a plus * Proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office preferred * Strong set of interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate in a clear and concise manner. * Willingness to travel within designated region, up to 10%. Occasional overnight travel may be required.
