To provide assistance to schools that have PreK programs by teaching and creating a flexible program and an environment favorable to learning and professional growth.


Incumbent must achieve the following outcomes with or without reasonable accommodation:

  • Assists staff in the implementation and assessment of professional development regarding PreK requirements of FOCUS

  • Organizes and disseminates most current PreK mandates to school and district personnel.

  • Cooperates in the development and implementation of PreK programs in elementary schools sites and future sites.

  • Assists in the development of the District PreK grant proposal to the State Department of Education.

  • Serves as liaison between Early Childhood and other District departments that serve PreK students.

  • Cooperates in the development and implementation of the District PreK program of instruction as aligned to the full participation of each child in the general education setting.


  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Flexibility, organization, decision-making and problem solving skills.

  • Interpersonal skills with diverse populations in-person and on the telephone.

  • Ability to meet deadlines and work on multiple projects.

  • Ability to coordinate the work of others.

  • Proficient with word processing, database and spreadsheet software.

  • Knowledge of District policies on immunization, medication, first aid, emergencies and child abuse/neglect.

  • Knowledge of all laws, regulations and guidelines affecting teachers and students.

  • Knowledge of effective classroom management techniques.

  • Ability to maintain positive relationships with students, parents, community members and staff.

  • Ability to communicate via email and use Internet for research.

  • Experience in parent involvement, early childhood or literacy programs.

  • TESOL and/or Bilingual Endorsement

  • Master's Degree preferred.


  • Must hold one of these licenses:

  • New Mexico Early Childhood Teacher License

  • Birth through Third Grade

  • New Mexico Early Childhood Teacher License

  • Age Three through Grade Three

  • Five years experience as a teacher in early childhood classrooms or direct service to PreK programs.

VIEW JOBS 10/6/2019 12:00:00 AM 2020-01-04T00:00 As a registered nurse working in the Pre-Anesthesia testing department you are part of a team of nurses and medical staff that complies medical records and testing in preparation for outpatient surgery. The PAT team plans, coordinates, and oversees care for patients of any age in Pre-Anesthesia Testing department. Provides care within nursing standards of practice and the policies of the Center. Makes decisions regarding direct patient care needs and communicates appropriate information to other team members. May have additional responsibilities as designated by the manager, which include, but are not limited to, serving on committees, participating in quality improvement audits, and projects. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: a) Opens the Pre-Admission office, signs on to the computer and prints out next two days' worth of surgery schedules. b) Verify patient charts are complete. Looks for missing charts and obtains necessary labs, EKG, chest x-ray, doctor office notes, or cardiac clearance. c) Interview patients as they arrive at the surgery center. Provides emotional support and explains all procedures. d) Obtain complete medical history using pre-Admission questionnaire. Obtain necessary releases for needed records and HIPPA regulations. e) Review and give patient pre-op instructions placing initialed copy in patient's chart. f) Consult with anesthesiologist in charge regarding abnormal labs, EKG, or any questionable patient condition affecting clearance for surgery. g) Telephone and interview patients not seen in person. h) Maintain patient logs. i) Ensure completed patient charts for next day are in locked cabinet in pre-op. j) Leave memos communicating necessary information to pre-op staff and next day's pre-admit staff. k) Cross trains in related areas. Required Skills Cooperative work attitude toward co-workers, management, patients, visitors and physicians. Ability to promote favorable facility image with physicians, patients, insurance companies, and general public. Ability to make decisions and solve problems. Required Experience Graduate of an approved school of nursing. Currently licensed in the state. BLS and ACLS required. One year experience required intra-operative setting.
