We are seeking a motivated individual to join our Preconstruction team as a Preconstruction Specialist. The Preconstruction Specialist works closely with the Preconstruction Manager during the preconstruction phase of Design-Build, Design Assist or Integrated projects and is responsible for creating basic designs, developing budgets and outlining installation techniques and strategies that support internal and external goals of the project. The ideal candidate would be proficient in the use of a PC and Microsoft Office Suite, have strong written & verbal communication skills, ability to communicate and coordinate multiple people and groups, and demonstrate ability in developing part relationships with contractors and/or end users.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Education: Associate Degree

  • Experience:

  • 5-7 years of progressive CAD or Accubid experience

  • Previous experience in pricing, engineering, and contracting

  • Experience in the electrical trade is preferred

  • Successful experience in working with multiple trades in a contracting setting

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Applies detailing and prefabrication strategies to the design during the preconstruction process, translates those strategies to the project team at project start-up.

  • Leads, assists and works with estimating team members in the development of project budgets and cost alternatives.

  • Supports the Preconstruction Manager by developing and providing design, budgeting and model coordination support on Design-Build, Design Assist, and Integrated projects.

  • Keeps Preconstruction manager abreast to changes and modifications that are made during the process.

  • Provides support to field personal during the construction process, translates the design intent to the field, and may work on site as needed.

  • Attends site meetings and site visits as needed to document existing conditions.

  • Work with Faith Designers to submit energy code and egress lighting drawings for state submittal.

  • Creates and documents value engineering solutions; which include identifying various design solutions and quantifying specific cost elements that re affected.

  • Assists and work with the assigned engineering team in the development of designs to meet project goals.

We are seeking a motivated individual to join our Critical Technologies team as a full-time Preconstruction Coordinator. The ideal candidate would have strong detail skills as well as solid time management abilities that allows them to effectively prioritize and complete multiple tasks throughout the day. The nature of this work would require the individual to be proficient in the use of a PC and Microsoft Office Suite (Access, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word). MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS * Education: Associate Degree or High School Diploma * Experience: 6 months - 2 years of equivalent work experience or * Education: Bachelor Degree is preferred * Experience: Equivalent work experience * Experience working in electrical construction, engineering or architectural industries * Experience working with sales teams and salesforce database is preferred. * Experience working with vendors * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Experience working with Bluebeam and Microsoft Office Suite KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Maintain Document Control of pre-bid documents and bid phase documents. * Subcontractor solicitation and development. * Combines drawings in Bluebeam for Estimating team. * Prepares submittal packages as required. * Preparing bid package deliverables as required. * Assists project team on bid day under direction of preconstruction lead. * Weekly update of Preconstruction Project Status Report (PSR). * Keeps up-to-date on incoming bid information and disperses information accordingly. * Maintaining a "RFI" Log showing pending, approved, and disapproved status; and processing change orders. * Assists in the creation and implementation of various preconstruction systems and processes. * Updates Salesforce database with bid information. * Coordinates the flow of documents between preconstruction managers, engineering, field construction team, or other department groups. * Will receive job start-up notification and will manage bid information for storage in the database / Image now. * Preparation of project files: including plotting AutoCAD, pdf drawings and specifications for distribution. * Processing Requests for Information and distributing to customers for response; maintaining a Requests for Information log and distributing RFIs to appropriate personnel as directed. * Assisting in managing, maintaining, and organizing Project files; distributing all correspondence as directed. * Develop and maintain labor by day reports for project team members. * Maintaining submittal logs; assisting with submittal preparation; distributing submittals to the customer for approval and distributing approved submittals/drawings to appropriate field employees.
