Precision Operations Tractor Support Specialist
The Precision Operations Tractor Support Specialist is a member of a Team within the Precision Solutions and Telematics (PS&T) Organization who will provide expert operational advice to dealership service departments and client Internal Personnel:
Quickly answering operations questions from client dealers or from client Field Service representatives using personal knowledge, experience, and available reference sources.
Work closely with technical support teams, field sales managers and regional service managers to provide Precision Farming expertise.
Documenting all questions and data into a contact tracking application (our web based contact management system) for:
Future reference by other internal people by: Creating additional documents that allow Dealers to search the self-help resources, and provide information to client quality, engineering to identify emerging product or application issues and help improve reliability and serviceability of client products, Statistical use, to help identify emerging product issues
Evaluate machine performance, diagnose operational component and system malfunctions, isolate problems and recommend solutions.
The Precision Farming Operations Specialist is responsible for:
Maintaining a relationship with Technical Publications and Technical Training employees to provide regular informal feedback of current issues that dealerships are experiencing with client equipment.
Required to meet specific performance standards in terms of response time, calls managed, and quality of support.
Help improve reliability and serviceability of client products.
Author and maintain service information and solutions into the ASiST Knowledge database for Dealers to reference.
Deliver dealer and customer training on precision solutions.
Precision Farming Operation Specialists help dealership, customers and internal personnel:
General inquiries related to setup and operation of precision OEM and aftermarket solutions.
Basic troubleshooting of precision OEM and aftermarket Solutions.
The qualified candidate will have experience with the following:
Associates Degree (in Engineering, Industrial, Technology, Agricultural Sciences, Automotive or related degree) with a minimum of 4 years of technical experience. Technical experience should include: experience relating to diagnostics of mechanical, electrical (12 or 24 volt DC), hydraulic systems and knowledge of electronic test equipment.
Will also consider those with a Bachelor's degree (in Engineering, Industrial, Technology, Agricultural Sciences, Automotive or related degree) with a minimum of 2 years of experience. Technical experience should include: experience relating to diagnostics of mechanical, electrical (12 or 24 volt DC), hydraulic systems and knowledge of electronic test equipment.
Experience with mobile equipment (such as agricultural, construction or forestry equipment; on/off-road trucks; automobile and/or aviation).
Ability to work a fluctuating schedule Monday through Sunday especially during planting and harvest seasons.
The preferred candidate will have experience with the following:
Basic to Moderate understanding of Precision Farming/Autoguidance systems and applications. Hands on experience a plus.
Remain current on agricultural operational developments and evolving field practices through field contacts/visits, attending meetings and working with dealership technicians.
Proven ability to work under minimal supervision in order to commit to and meet established targets and deadlines.
Independent thinking and analytical skills in resolving issues.
Strong familiarity with Dealership business practices relating to product support.
Logical problem solving approach with a particular aptitude for electrical/electronic concern resolution.
Familiar with methods used to troubleshoot or repair equipment.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
Prior field service experience a plus.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Other duties to support the platform's success as assigned by the Team Leader.
