Install and remove mechanical and electrical components in assemblies and sub-assemblies per work instructions and/or visual aids. May troubleshoot failed assemblies to determine corrective action.
Uses hand tools and custom fixtures, working in a team environment with other assemblers and support functions to produce products on time and with high level of quality.
Performs validation and inspection of own work and within immediate work area
Maintains adequate supplies and a neat and orderly work area
Maintains tools and equipment in proper working order
Maintains the security and confidentiality of customer products and documentation
May become involved with product testing
Participates in providing timely feedback to upstream and downstream operations as appropriate
Proactively participates in site Lean engagement and activities.
Provides feedback on ways to reduce scrap created within the process by recommending corrective action to reduce or eliminating root cause.
Adheres to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by supervisor.

Works on most difficult assemblies and may be consulted for recommendations for process improvements by engineering or management.
Recognized as area expert in being able to perform and train in specialized production and testing operations.
Troubleshoots all levels of problems through testing and makes recommendations for continuous improvement.
Able to perform a wide array of testing on most complex product builds.
Able to calibrate test equipment as specified by customer requirements.
Has wide latitude for using independent judgment with minimal supervisory oversight.

Serves as a mentor as well as a back-up to the Team Leader or supervisor in their absence.
Strong analytical skills and problem-solving ability

10+ years in a lead role with all processes or a specialized knowledge
Ability to read, write, and perform basic math skills
Ability to perform basic-moderate placement and testing activities
High School Diploma or GED
