We are seeking a Pre-Certification LPN to:
Join our world-class team of doctors, nurses and other health care professionals in providing everything from preventive health care to highly specialized programs.
Provide quality care in a compassionate patient- and family- centered environment.
Apply clinical knowledge to make determination for pre-authorizations of specific procedures and services to ensure adherence to outside insurance contracts.
Comply, prepare, and present the more complex information needed to process prior authorization request and documents in the EMR.
Advise non-clinical staff on clinical information as well as document preparation.
Maintain standards of professional nursing practice.
Participate in continuous quality improvement activities and educational experiences in support of departmental philosophy and objectives, as well as, Health System initiatives.
Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
At least two years of professional nursing experience.
Successful completion of annual clinical, age and job specific competencies and skill verification tools required.
Knowledge in managed care concepts, chart abstractions and documentation protocols within the medical field.
Good interpersonal, organizational and critical decision-making skills required.
Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing in a caring, considerate and concerned manner.
Willingness to accept responsibility and leadership skills are essential.
Computer experience is required.
Licenses and Certifications:
Current LPN licensure from State of Illinois.
Bi-annual CPR certification required.
