Preaching Initiative Director
SUMMARY:
Direct the Mark 16:15 Preaching Initiative team to achieve program objectives and ensure its success. Responsible for overseeing program budget, development, implementation, and evaluation, ensuring compliance with PBA and Lilly Foundation policies. Proactively address issues with faculty, staff, and pastors in collaboration with the School of Ministry Dean. Lead the fundraising for the initiative in collaboration with the dean and other University staff to meet the objectives outlined in the grant proposal. Position report to the Dean.
JOB RESPONSIBLITIES:
Lead Preaching Initiative Team, providing oversight, coordination, and evaluation
Guide Preaching Fellows in fulfilling their responsibilities, particularly within the Circles of Preachers framework.
Coordinate and cooperate with the Faculty Steering Committee to meet their objectives.
Supervise Graduate Student Assistants.
Collaborate with the Florida College of Preachers Leadership Council and Council of Elders to achieve their goals.
Conduct annual reviews of Preaching Fellows and Graduate Student Assistants.
Coordinate and collaboration with Preaching Initiative team in overseeing budget, development, implementation, and evaluation.
Manage the program budget.
Work with the Preaching Initiative team on developing, implementing, and evaluating the Circles of Preachers, Florida College of Preachers, Preaching Festival, and degree/certificate programs.
Ensure the program is meeting the objectives and goals outlined in the grant proposal.
Ensure that documentation and deadlines are met according to PBA and Lilly Foundation policies.
Proactively resolve issues and problems that may arise with faculty, staff, and pastors in partnership with the School of Ministry Dean.
Lead the fundraising for the initiative in collaboration with the dean and other University staff to meet the objectives outlined in the grant proposal.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Doctoral degree (DMin, PhD, ThD)
Congregational and community organization work for five years.
Expected to perform duties and responsibilities independently. Requires strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and align across a wide variety of people.
Strong analytical and communication skills are an essential element of the position.
Responsible for expense management within area budget.
