USPI Spicewood Surgery Center, is seeking a motivated Pre-Op/PACU/Circulator to join our team. Spicewood Surgery Center is a multi-specialty surgery center committed to producing the highest quality work and experience for patients and their families.
Pre-operative Duties
Assess the status of patients' health in pre-op and ensure accuracy of identification wristband
Ensure that operative and informed consents are in order
Determine the surgeon and procedure being carried out
Take and record vital statistics of patients to ensure readiness for surgical procedure
Initiate IVs and ensure that patients are informed about the procedure and attending medical staff
Post-operative Duties
Assess patients' condition after a surgery has been performed
Ensure that all vitals are within normal range
Log all findings in patients' files
Answer patients' questions and ensure that they are kept comfortable
Monitor patients for condition changes and report any changes to the doctor
Initiate patient education programs to ensure that both patients and families are educated on procedures and medications
Perform intervention duties in cases of post-operative emergencies
OR Circulating Duties
Assisting with equipment
Serving as a patient advocate and ensuring patient safety at all times
Assisting with positioning the patient
Monitoring the patient's condition throughout the entire surgical process and acting quickly to respond to any changes
Maintaining the sterile field at all times
Exhibiting skillful clinical judgment and assessment skills

Required Skills:
Qualifications:
Current Texas Nursing License
Current CPR, ACLS, and BLS
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
Minimum 2-year experience in a hospital setting or ASC setting
Any perioperative setting is appreciated, but not all areas required as we cross train
