Pre-Nursing (Cna) Instructor

THE POSITION

• Teach the Pre-Nursing/Certified Nursing Aid (CNA) Curriculum (on-site and at a long term care facility) including

• Principles of Healthcare

• Medical Terminology

• Healthcare Specialist: CNA

• Health Specialist Capstone

• Meet/Complete the Administrative Standards for the Indiana State Department of Health Nurse Aide Training Program

QUALIFICATIONS

• A current Indiana Registered Nurse license with a minimum of two years of licensed nurse's experience, of which at least one year must be in the provision of long term care services. (more...)

• Valid Teaching License in Health Occupations or Workplace Specialist in Nursing -or- 5000 clock hours (2.5 years) in the past five years as a nurse and the ability to obtain a Workplace Specialist License

• Previous teaching experience preferred

• Ability to teach or earn the ability to teach Dual Credit Courses

• Ability to develop rapport and demonstrate professionalism with high school students, parents, staff, and the community

• Flexibility and the ability to address situations as they arise

• Polished image

• Strong written, verbal, and technical skills
