We are a private preschool seeking a Pre-Kindergarten Teacher to implement a program of activities for children ages 4-5.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Classroom co-teacher responsible for curriculum implementation and the overall supervision and daily class functions.

• Observes all rules and regulations at the school and the local, state or national regulatory agencies pertaining to the health, safety and care of children.

• Provides verbal recognition and acceptance to children while providing clear and consistent expectations for the children's behavior.

Desired skills and experience:

• Must meet basic requirements of local child care regulatory agency

• Previous teaching or assistant teaching position in a licensed education program or educational equivalent required

• N.C. ECE credentials and/or degree in early childhood education or equivalent preferred

• Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations

Compensation: $14.00 - $20.00 per hour
