Position Title: Pre-school/Head Start Aide/Bus Aide/ECCAT (2 Positions)

Mountain View School

Job Description:

• Assist teacher in instructional activities as directed

• Share in responsibility of protecting students, equipment, materials, and facilities

• Make home visits as needed for the program

• Perform limited, rotating supervisory duties not related to instruction

• Provide necessary assistance during transportation to and from school and for special school events

• Positive work habits

• Perform duties efficiently and productively

• Must be physically capable of lifting and supervising children

• Must be willing to attend training concerning health care matters, basic/specialized health care procedures, and in all areas related to Pre-K/Head Start issues

• Must maintain confidentiality of student's educational and health related information.

Qualifications:

• Must be a high school graduate or GED equivalent

• Must meet qualifications for aide and pass state aide test

• Pass a criminal background check

• Pass a physical examination.

• Must have or be willing to get First Aid/CPR certification and food handler's certification.

• Preference will be given to applicants holding an Early Childhood Classroom Assistant Teacher certification. If no applicant holds an ECCAT certification, applicants with the CDA or ACDS can apply for ECCAT certification through WV Department of Education. If applicant does not have any of the above, they must complete the ECCAT certification process.

Salary and Effective Date: Salary based on experience and education level per Monroe County BOE salary schedule plus competitive benefits package equal to approximately 35% of direct compensation. August 19, 2024
