Job Summary:#The Practice Support Specialist (PSS) performs a pivotal role in the overall success of the billing process from beginning to end. The PSS is business minded, forward thinking, efficient and analytical.
The PSS strives to improve and accelerate the revenue cycle process to achieve higher productivity, faster payments, decreased costs, and improved patient service by working closely with the Billing Supervisors, Trainers, Coding and Compliance Analysts, Division Administrators, Educators, Practice Directors/Managers and practice staff. The PSS is responsible for increasing compliance with an understanding of all billing, coding and registration guidelines, policies and procedures, and performance expectations. The PSS works closely with the Practice Manager to implement revenue cycle processes to new and acquired practices to ensure consistency across all the LVPG practices and to assess how each practice is performing their revenue related functions.
The Practice Support Specialist is a visible presence in each assigned practice and seeks to continually improve the billing process and overall results.
#High School Diploma or equivalent education.# At least five (5) years of experience in a highly responsible position in physician practice or revenue cycle operations
#Bachelor#s or Advanced Degree desired.# More than seven (7)#years#of experience in a highly responsible position in physician practice or revenue cycle operations,#preferably in a large, high volume, multi-disciplinary environment. Licensure and Certifications:#N/A
