Responsibilities

The Practice Manager works closely with clinic management, revenue cycle, education, admitting, pre-access, and compliance to ensure appropriate standards are developed and administered at the clinic sites. This oversight includes scheduling, registration, and pre-authorization functions. The Practice Manager maintains systems in a manner that focuses on ensuring a consistent patient experience and is respectful of all customers and stakeholders

Qualifications

Required Minimum Education

Bachelors Degree in Business, Health Science or related area, or equivalent experience required

Required Minimum Experience
2 years experience in healthcare or business administration required; 1 year of management experience in hospital admissions and outpatient registration environments required; 3 years of supervisory experience required.

Required Minimum Skills

a. Medical terminology education and/or experience.

b. Excellent communication skills to include oral comprehension/expression and written comprehension/expression.

c. Effective problem-solving and intervention skills.

d. Ability to manage a chaotic work environment related to changing patient needs and fluctuating volumes.

e. Self-directed, independent thinker

f. Ability and willingness to exhibit behaviors consistent with principles for service excellence.

Responsibilities The Vice President, Oncology Service line will assist in the further development and market differentiation of WellStar's oncology service line in the greater Atlanta market, with the goal of becoming the premier provider of oncology services within the Southeast. The Vice President will develop and formalize an integrated service line approach to oncology throughout the WellStar Health System, creating a WellStar Cancer Network Cabinet to service the onocology needs of the patients in WellStar's service area. The Vice President, Oncology works collaboratively with physicians, system leadership, hospital leadership teams and staff to ensure the service line meets its goals and objectives. * Cancer Registry * Radiation Oncology * Infusion * Navigators * Cyber-Knife He/she will identify opportunities to grow the service line by providing the highest quality outcomes and cancer treatment success rates. The ideal candidate will have both an entrepreneurial spirit and track record of developing and oncology growing service lines. He/she will also possess a strong operational foundation and an orientation to detail. This leader will work to provide effective leadership with regard to finances, relationship development and management with key stakeholders and practicing physicians, strategic growth in a competitive market, and the ability to create and align a vision for the oncology practices with larger organizational goals. Working in collaboration with the hospital presidents, operational leaders at all sites, and the leaders of the WellStar Medical Group, the VP will ensure that the service lines meet all of their goals. This position will actively participate in the developing of strategies, goals and tactics to enhance the offerings of WellStar Health System to providers and community partners. The VP will assist in the further development and formalization of an integrated service line approach to oncology throughout WellStar. This individual will transcend organizational silos to identify opportunities to grow and further integrate the oncology service line with other areas. Qualifications Required Minimum Education: A masters degree in business administration, health administration or a related field is required. Required Minimum Licensure/Certification: N/A Required Minimum Experience: Ten (10) to fifteen (15) years of experience in healthcare operations with progressive experience leading multiple departments with at least 5 years in experience in oncology within an acute care hospital or physician group. Significant exposure to matrix operating structures and extensive experience with strategy development, program implementation, ambulatory services and/or hospital operations. Demonstrated ability to lead people through change processes and to execute on an organizational strategic plan. Significant background in improving patient, employee, and physician satisfaction. A track record of effectively partnering and communicating with physicians to achieve objectives and results. An leader who enjoys collaborating with physicians and is viewed as a balanced leader and a champion for patient quality and clinical excellence. A systems thinker who brings an ability to see the larger picture and fit primary into the framework of overall system design and success. A strength in financial and business operations and a strong analytical orientation Required Minimum Skills: Excellent physician relations skills and previous experience in growing volume.
