Position Information

The Practice Manager is responsible for the supervision and management of physician services to assigned practice(s). Under general supervision of the Director, Service Line Practices, this individual directs, coordinates, and integrates practice resources and activities to meet the goals of the service line. This individual understands both the long-range goals and the short-term WakeMed Physician Practices and remains focused on achieving objectives and standards.

Works in partnership with the physician leader(s) to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies (JCAHO, NCBON, CMS, DHHS), enhance operations and ensures physician participation and integration into the operations of the practice. Understands the needs of the organization and supports the mission, values, and management of WakeMed Physician Practices.

Experience Requirements:

3 Years Management

  • Direct Area of Responsibility Preferred

Education Required:

Bachelor's Degree Business Administration Or Bachelor's Degree Health Administration Or Bachelor's Degree Healthcare Required

  • Or Equivalent Experience
Licensure/Certification

Requirements:

Certified Medical Practice Executive Or Certified Physician Practice Manager In Lieu of Degree

Hours of Work: 8a

  • 5p, M-F

Weekend Requirements:
No Weekends

Position Information The Behavioral Health Associate will be responsible for the service provision of evidence-based, family-centered treatment within the multidisciplinary pediatric weight management team at WakeMed Children's. Conducts psychosocial evaluations on patients using criteria established by the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of the American Psychiatric Association and develop comprehensive treatment plans with children and adolescents with obesity using appropriate skills and assessments. The Associate will address the following psychological and behavioral comorbidities influencing pediatric obesity conditions including, but not limited to, depression, anxiety, emotional eating, disordered eating behavior, lack of motivation, impaired family functioning, and poor psychological adjustment. Identifies and works to resolve barriers to patients seeking and receiving behavioral health services and demonstrate effective decision making in a rapid paced environment with attention to detail utilizing logical and appropriate clinical judgment. Demonstrates the ability to effectively communicate (written and verbal) with clarity and organization while ensuring appropriate communication occurs between the medical staff, leadership team, service line leadership and team members and document relevant assessment and progress updates in the medical record according to departmental standards. Participates in pediatric weight management and community initiatives that address behavioral health issues and provides interdisciplinary team including in-service education and support. Maintains current knowledge/level of expertise in area of specialty and various treatment modalities and adheres to the professional standards and code of ethics set forth by applicable licensing board. Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills preferred.
