Nestled in the San Pedro River Valley 75 miles southeast of Tucson, Sierra Vista serves as the main commercial, cultural, and recreational hub of Cochise County and offers spectacular mountain views and year-round temperate climate. This Clinic Coordinator position will be working for Sierra Vista Medical Group. Assists in managing and administering and supervising the back office and clerical services in the assigned clinic.
DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Evaluates, develops, recommends, and implements clinic policies and procedures related to the delivery of safe and efficient quality care in the clinic.
Plans and directs the activities of employees in coordination with Physicians in the clinic and the Practice Director.
Consults with Clinic Director concerning issues and challenges in the clinic.
Directs and supervises employees in accordance with clinic leadership, HR, HSC, and governmental and other regulatory standards.
Responsible for maintaining policy and procedure and maintains of office for State Inspections.
Recommends departmental policies and procedure consistent with organizational goals and ambulatory care accreditations standards. Updates and maintains procedural manuals. Updates staff of any changes.
Coordinates departmental schedules regarding the granting of vacations, leaves, etc., in an equitable and consistent manner. Designs work schedules, hours and duty assignments to accommodate the schedules of the Physicians in the Clinic. Assesses staffing patterns and recommends changes.
Reviews and approves back office and clerical personnel payroll, timecards and overtime.
Performs annual personnel evaluations.
Maintains departmental communications by holding department meetings and responding to written and/or verbal question and concerns in a timely manner.
Responsible for the coordination and implementation of interviewing, hiring, orienting, training, evaluating, disciplining, and terminating clinic employees in coordination with HR.
Perform monthly QA
Annually train on OSHA and other regulatory requirements
Monitor staff and physicians for CPR, ACLS, and TB etc.
Monitor ordering of medical and office supplies.
Oversee, delegate and resolve tasks and billing issues
Insure all charges are turned submitted in a timely manner
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to bend, squat and lift up to 50 lbs. May require standing for long periods of time.
