Short Description

Provide direct patient care through assessment, implementation, and evaluation under the direction of the physician(s). Ensure optimal clinical flow throughout the office. Requires a valid NJ LPN license. A minimum of two years experience in a medical office is preferred.

Briefly explain the job's overall objective:

A nonexempt position responsible for the nursing care under the supervision of physicians, providers and/or registered nurse(s).

May be involved in both the clinical and administrative areas including physical

assessments, medication administration, promotion of wellness through patient education and teaching, care of the patient environment and organizational tasks.

Maintains working knowledge of regulatory standards and is accountable to sustain these standards in daily operations.

Clinical direction, oversight and competency review is provided by medical providers and ambulatory professional development team in coordination with office management.

Scheduled Days / Hours: M-F 8a-430P; License (or Certification):BLS Required; License (or Certification):NJ-LPN Required

May be involved in both the clinical and administrative areas including assisting providers with patient care, and handling clerical, environmental, and organizational tasks. Provides information to patients so they may fully utilize and benefit from the clinical services. Maintains working knowledge of regulatory standards and is accountable to sustain these standards in daily operations. Clinical direction, oversight and competency review is provided by medical providers and ambulatory professional development team in coordination with office management. Special Requirements Scheduled Days / Hours: Monday - Friday; 8:00am - 1:00pm Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent required. Experience: Minimum one year of recent experience working in a medical facility as a medical assistant and/or documented evidence of externship completed in a medical office. Electrocardiogram (EKG), vital signs, venipuncture, capillary, and injection experience. Epic experience preferred. Excellent organizational, written/verbal communication and teamwork skills. Demonstrated performance of excellent customer service skills. Required License/Certifications/ Registration: Current documentation of a national certification for the registered medical assistant (RMA) or National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMAor for the certified medical assistant (CMA) or CMAC (Clinical Medical Assistant Certification) BLS.
