NTT DATA Services currently seeks a Practice Lead for Retail Banking and Payments/ Card Consulting to join our team in Charlotte, North Carolina (US-NC), United States (US).

Our global Consulting practice with over 600 consultants help solve client problems and drive change by providing the expertise and specialized counsel to clients with industry-centric solutions.
A Senior Practice Banking Lead acts as the subject matter expert and thought leadership advocate for NTT DATA Services, responsible for developing, managing, and expanding the practice providing industry expertise to both internal and external leaders. This Senior Practice Lead will need a deep knowledge of the Retail Banking Sector, Card and Consulting to develop strategic solutions for the clients, working with our FSI (Financial Services and Insurance) sales and client leaders. Our preference is someone with more breadth of knowledge within Payments and Card sector along with a strong understanding of the banking industry as a whole. This person will network with industry leaders, internal FSI sales and client leadership, current clients, and potential clients to understand and communicate current and future trends. The Senior Practice Lead becomes a critical aspect of the sales pursuit process, working with FSI sales and client leaders to create presentations and proposal responses demonstrating NTT DATA Services capabilities and expertise to meet client needs. A Senior Practice Lead is a full time salaried employee that can travel up to 75% representing NTT DATA Services in the area of expertise for current and potential clients.
The Banking Senior Practice Lead will develop and lead the Banking practice within FSI Consulting for NTT DATA Services to grow our FSI Consulting brand and partnership, while working with FSI sales and client leaders to help promote the value of the practice to current and potential clients. Our Banking practice focuses on Retail Banking and Wholesale Banking, and in addition Card and Payments and Lending across both businesses. We serve 40 of the leading financial services and insurance firms in North America, leveraging our Consulting expertise with our Delivery capabilities, and supporting through Value Added Services. Our preference is someone with more breadth of knowledge within Payments and Card sector along with a strong understanding of the banking industry as a whole.
Senior Practice Leads have overall responsibility for their Consulting area of expertise in client relationships and sales pursuits, solution architecture, brand promotion, and collateral, asset, and community development.
Client Relationships and Sales Pursuits
Identify market priorities and provide insight to FSI sales and client leadership
Partner with sales and client teams on account strategy and offering planning
Partner with sales and client teams to maintain, develop, and expand client relationships
Understand the competitor landscape in the practice area
Educate internal leaders and external clients on NTT DATA Services offerings
Identify and review opportunities and prioritize activities to optimize realization of pipeline
Participate in sales support as part of and/or leading a pursuit team
Articulate job requirements for resources needed, supporting Talent Acquisition and Fulfillment
Able to assist with initial project mobilization as needed
Support and coach FSI Consulting advisory and delivery teams
Drive client solutioning for FSI sales pursuits in the practice area
Understand the business challenge and what the client wants to achieve
Formulate the solution based on expertise in practice area and NTT DATA Services capabilities
Identify the value proposition and differentiators for NTT DATA Services
Develop the storyline that represents all our capabilities to address the client's problem
Represent NTT DATA Services in industry conferences and forums
Drive thought leadership in practice area (blogs, points of view, formal campaigns, etc.)
Participate in webinars, summits, media interviews, etc. representing FSI Consulting and practice area
Collateral, Asset, and Community Development
Develop practice area collateral, offerings, and supporting materials
Communicate collateral and offering messaging effectively to FSI sales and client teams for qualification discussions
Drive development of assets (e.g. tools, accelerators, etc.) and intellectual property (e.g. playbooks)
Provide guidance to NTT DATA Services billable consultants in the practice area for professional development
Identify and coach next generation of leaders in practice area
Ideal candidates have consulting-relevant experience in the practice area including: conducting structured analysis, program definition and management, and consultative, collaborative problem-solving.
Bachelor's degree required and a graduate degree preferred
10+ years of experience managing complex business relationships is preferred in Banking, ideally with a Big 4 consulting company
10+ years of Banking domain experience, spanning people, process and technology with an eye toward business transformation
Proven ability to contribute to new business development efforts
Possesses aptitude to identify strategic solutions to business problems with enterprise-wide implications
Experience working with senior business partners and C-level clients identifying trends, communicating competitive actions, and presenting strategic implications in Banking
Technology conversant and aware of major technology trends in the Financial Services industry
Excellent communicator with the ability to communicate effectively along vertical and horizontal planes internally and in client organizations
Strong project management skills
Experience creating thought leadership and white papers and presenting in this area of expertise is preferred
Basic Required Qualifications:
10 + years of experience within Cards and Payments or Retail Banking consulting leadership
5+ years of Consulting experience working with large complex Financial Services clients.
