The Big Data Practice Director will be responsible for the overall project implementation for all of our Big Data and Analytics services. This is a leadership role that is responsible for our ongoing development of our Big Data and Analytics practice as well as execution of all Big Data projects. You will maintain Executive and mid-level relationships with clients, ensure that we are meeting client and project goals and are always providing the highest service levels and customer satisfaction to our clients. You will also be involved in growing our relationships with clients and our partners over the long term. Qualified candidates must have extensive experience with delivery of consulting projects, consultative selling, project management, Big Data with an emphasis on Google, and quality assurance. Most importantly, candidates should be passionate about what they do and help to create a fun, entrepreneurial environment.

  • Manage a portfolio of projects, ensuring coordination of shared resources, common activities, and other dependencies across projects

  • Strong background in the following:

  • Google Cloud Platform

  • Big Data, Data Sciences, Predictive Analytics, Machine Learning, AI & IoT

  • BI Modernization, Data Lake, Data Warehouse, Data Governance, MDM

  • Practice, Program Management Delivery & Strategy

  • IT Application Development, Outsourcing Delivery

  • Develop and manage program financials including forecasting, profitability, invoicing and expense management

  • Ensure that project deliverables can be integrated to become the overall result (product, service) and will deliver the expected business benefits

  • Maintain and grow the client relationship and keep the client and stakeholders engaged in the project (i.e.: status reporting, issues management and risk management)

  • Effectively interact with audiences at all levels (including C-Level)

  • Partner with the client to understand the organization, to determine potential project impact, and to tailor the project approach, plan the deliverables accordingly

  • Participate in business development including the expansion of existing projects, responding to RFP's, client presentations and executing Statements of Work (SOW)

  • Support the development of internal processes, documentation and knowledge sharing

  • Leading development & delivery of technical solution

  • Leading and mentoring developers

  • Architecting and coding solutions using big data tools and techniques

  • Architecting data pipelines and integration routines with internal/external sources

  • Developing data integration/ingestion processes

  • Manage Big Data team day to day and ensure the personal and professional development of team members.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of consulting experience with at least 5 years in a Delivery Leadership or program management role

  • Able to balance a program workload and staffing according to project/program and organizational priorities and goals

  • Demonstrated experience in all phases of a Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and non-technology project lifecycle including the identification of the business problem, business case and project plan development through project management and closeout

  • Experience with delivering major projects using Agile and Waterfall methodologies

  • Adaptable self-starter who is skilled at creating structure in ambiguous environments

  • Able to serve as a liaison between both business and technical teams to drive effective, timely solutions that fulfill both strategic and operational goals

  • Strong logical and analytical problem-solving skills; rigorous approach to project/program management to ensure delivery of enterprise-level projects

  • Strong leadership skills, including a history of increasing leadership responsibility and career growth in project management

  • Relationship builder able to team effectively with others and build relationships at all levels internally and with client teams and stakeholders

  • Achievement-oriented with strong leadership skills and a desire for continued growth and learning in career

  • A history of mentoring and/or teaching others around work plan development, progress tracking, time tracking, status reporting, and risk management

Core Responsibilities: * Work directly with the project SCRUM teams to define the solution strategy, performing an integral role in overall project strategy and facilitating effective teamwork and collaboration. * Collaborates with project stakeholders to identify product and technical requirements.
