The Practice Administrator II directs Practice Management activities for the Health Texas Provider Network (HTPN) to include operations for all aspects of Physician practices. The Practice Administrator II develops services for revenue enhancement, marketing of practices, and practice operations while serving as liaison between Physician practice and HTPN network to ensure achievement of strategic goals. In addition, the Practice Administrator II develops, implements, and coordinates information systems for Practice, Managed Care Plan Management, and HTPN to ensure network system integration. Also the Practice Administrator II prepares financial and administrative reports and supervises assigned personnel, while working with Physician to ensure practice is managed according to established standards.

The ideal Practice Administrator II candidate is someone who maintains effective communication with practice stakeholders to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of a practice.

Responsibilities Essential Duties: * Manage IT systems in a highly-available, 24x7 enterprise level production environment. * Administrating and maintaining Windows systems within physical and virtual environments including hardware, patching, upgrades, performance tuning, and capacity management. * Virtual server administration within vSphere 6.x environment. * Process automation and reporting via PowerShell. * Participate in rotating on-call schedule. * Documentation of infrastructure, processes, and procedures. * Occasional evening and weekend work in response to needs of the systems being supported. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: * Strong working knowledge of Windows Server 2003/2008/2012/2016 and VMware vSphere 6.x. * Advanced skills working with Windows Server Technologies such as: Active Directory, Failover Clusters, IIS, DFS, Group Policy, and DNS. * Solid understanding of virtual server administration in a vSphere 6.x environment. * Hands on datacenter experience in an enterprise class environment * Strong hardware/software troubleshooting and diagnostic skills * Very strong communications skills and analytical aptitude with the ability to express technical concepts effectively, both verbal and in written form * Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills * Must be able to take direction and be coached * Ability to manage multiple challenging projects with various priority levels and timelines with minimal supervision Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: * High school diploma or GED * 3+ years working as a Systems Administrator * 3+ years experience working with Windows Server Technologies * 3+ years experience building server class systems Preferred Qualifications: * 3+ years' experience working in a VMware vSphere environment Physical Requirements: Standing, sitting, walking, speaking, listening, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping and manipulating tools, typing, using peripheral computer tools.
