This is an exciting opportunity for a strong and passionate communicator to advance the Campus Recruitment Team's Academic Interface Program, building relationships between TCS and students, career services centers, professors, and affinity groups at nearly 200 colleges and universities across the U.S. The PR/Communications Manager will be responsible for developing marketing and communications plans, including strategy, budgets, social media content, as well as participate in various physical and virtual recruitment events to support the hiring of hundreds of prospective recruits.

Based in Edison, NJ the PR Manager will report to the Head of HR for North America and the HR Program Director of Strategic Initiatives. The candidate will work also closely with the TCS NA Corporate Communications Team to support social media and PR opportunities for TCS' transformative HR practices, as well as track and submit awards on behalf of HR.

The PR/Communications Manager for Campus Recruitment and HR ideally has the following experience:

  • A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in PR/communications - whether PR agency or in-house -ideally with experience in the business-to-business or professional services sectors, or campus recruitment, but open to those with strong experience in tech overall.

  • Exceptional writing and communications skills is a must. Demonstrated capacity to develop, refine and transmit the various voices and messages of the company to key stakeholders (e.g., internal executives, media, prospective employees, customers, campus leads). You are highly creative, skilled in taking a rich, complex message and boiling it down to its essence.

  • Experience in managing or leveraging social media channels and tools to build brands and reputations and engage with target audiences to drive desired actions.

  • Experience and ability to interact with and counsel senior executives as needed and prepare a host of campus ambassadors as part of overall communications plans.

  • A high capacity to thrive in a large environment, being highly motivated and confident to provide ideas and direction, and gain consensus among various functions, while having the flexibility to navigate challenges and modify plans as needed.

  • Availability and eagerness to travel across the United States as needed.

Location

This role would be based out of our Edison, NJ office, with the candidate joining weekly interaction/meetings with the Corporate Communications Team in NYC.

Specifically, we are looking for a driven individual who has technical expertise and sales experience in the energy storage field and who is capable of shaping and growing CS Energy’s energy storage business. </p><p>The ideal candidate is a self-starter who will own the entire sales cycle from opportunity identification to sales close. We are actively pursuing distributed and utility-scale energy storage projects in both stand-alone storage and renewables-plus-storage use cases. The candidate will plan, coordinate, prioritize, monitor and evaluate sales opportunities and must be a creative problem-solver with an ability to combine technical expertise, commercial knowledge, and relationship building to originate and close opportunities. This includes a comfort with a variety of client types and a range of experience delivering different project types to establish processes and standard operating procedures. Finally, the candidate will also need to be proficient with the economics of energy storage and project financial models. </p><h3><br></h3><h3>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</h3><ul> <li>Pursue existing and prospective customers through networking, cold-calling, and conferences to evaluate opportunities for future energy storage opportunities.</li> <li>Work with our existing Business Development Team to mine CS Energy’s existing customer database to evaluate opportunities for future storage sales.</li> <li>Develop deep and meaningful relationships with existing and prospective customers</li> <li>Effectively communicate CS Energy’s value proposition to existing and prospective customers to consistently identify CS Energy’s value to our customers and what differentiates us in the industry. </li> <li>Evaluate market information, identify target geographies and opportunity types, and develop and execute strategies to successfully grow our energy storage business. </li> <li>Maintain a working expertise on policy, rate design, and incentives in all relevant markets to ensure we are pursuing opportunities in the most efficient and effective way possible.</li> <li>Demonstrate a thorough understanding of how distributed and/or utility-scale energy storage can qualitatively and quantitatively benefit both the customers and utilities as both a stand-alone solution and integrated with other renewable technologies.</li> <li>Develop detailed financial models to determine the economic benefits of specific storage projects, taking into consideration various revenue sources, capex, opex, and other technical assumptions.</li> <li>Work closely with CS Energy’s engineering, estimating, and marketing teams in developing industry leading proposals.</li> <li>Negotiate contracts as applicable for each project.</li> <li>Coordinate with project managers to seamlessly integrate energy storage into renewable energy or traditional energy design-build projects</li> </ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul> <li>6+ years’ of experience in technical and commercial roles in energy storage, other renewable energy technologies, energy efficiency, or energy/sustainability solutions sales.</li> <li> BA/BS required (engineering degree preferred), MBA (highly desired)</li> <li>Extensive knowledge of the broader energy ecosystem, utility rate structures and various influencers and stakeholders</li> <li>Solid understanding engineering principles, distributed energy resources, electrical design and the renewable energy development processes (from project origination, to development, financing, EPC, and operation).</li> <li>Existing relationships and proven results in the direct sale of energy storage, renewable energy, energy efficiency, sustainability, and/or other energy products, solutions or services.</li> <li>Experience serving utility, commercial, industrial, federal, and institutional clients.</li> <li>Ability to develop and manage strategic relationships and/or joint ventures.</li> <li>Exceptional professional communication and presentation skills, both written and oral.</li> <li>Ability to multi-task and manage effectively and accurately in a deadline-driven, challenging environment.</li> <li>Self-motivated, independent problem solver and creative thinker with exceptional follow through and the highest levels of integrity and trust across all customer interactions.</li> <li>Team player with empowering approach to management</li> <li>A willingness to travel as necessary<ul>*All applicants who receive a conditional offer of employment must take a pre-employment drug test and receive a negative result as a condition of hire.</ul> </li> </ul> <h3><br></h3><h3>About CS Energy</h3><p>Do you want to work in the exciting and rapidly growing renewable energy industry?
