Grow your career as a successful PR & Communications Manager within ALG Vacations. In this role, you will contribute to the promotion of ALG Vacations brands: Apple Vacations, Blue Sky Tours, Funjet Vacations, Southwest Vacations, Travel Impressions and United Vacations. You will develop annual PR strategy and budget, evaluate PR platforms and create annual budget, develop internal communications calendar, create informative content, press releases, articles, and media opportunities to share our company's brands, products, and services.
A successful PR & Communications Manager will:
Manage the B2B public relations (PR) team and overseeing all their activities
Develop and implement publicity strategies for ALGV's brands, promotions and products, including assisting with crisis management
Develop and implement internal and external publicity strategies for company events
Create and manage a PR plan, including budgets, platforms, timelines, etc.
Work cross-functionally across internal teams including social media, content, marketing and research to manage workflow and information flow
Analyze all media coverage of the organization and draft appropriate responses
Organize promotional events such as press tours and conferences
Build and maintain solid partnerships with internal stakeholders to better develop, coordinate, direct, and facilitate internal communications
Develop content and direct creative execution to provide a consistent, targeted, and impactful message to internal colleagues
Interface with trade-buying team to coordinate messaging across paid opportunities and earned media

A successful PR & Communications Manager will have:
Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, public relations or relevant field
Minimum 2 years of supervisory, management or leadership experience
Minimum 5 years of PR, marketing and communications experience
Social media channel knowledge - Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn
Outstanding written and oral communication skills
Ability to communicate effectively and present ideas to business leaders
Travel industry or corporate events experience desired
Strong knowledge of communication practices and techniques
Competency in leveraging customer insight to creatively introduce forward thinking and dynamic approaches to PR
Self-motivated with the ability and willingness to work in a fast-paced environment
Skilled at self- and project management with an eye for detail and logistics
Highly creative with ability to think outside of the box
Travel Domestically and Internationally as requested (5-10%)
