The primary function of the Generator Division Service Coordinator is to review service calls from the prior day and provide quotes to customers for all follow up work written up from the technician in a timely manner. The Service Coordinator then tracks open follow-up quotes and obtains approval from the customer to be scheduled. This position is also to assist with dispatch and scheduling preventative maintenance and emergency customer appointments, as well as, the communication of parts required for each service to the parts department, then assisting to confirm that the parts are available 3 or more days before the schedule work.

Essential Position Functions:

  • Review prior day work orders and quote all necessary follow up work to the customer in a timely manner.

  • Track and follow up on quotes to obtain approval from the customer.

  • Work with parts to ensure all parts are available 3 or more days before the scheduled work.

  • Renew customer preventative maintenance contracts as needed.

  • Receive emergency and non-emergency service calls from customers and schedule service technicians as needed.

  • Schedule customers for their preventative maintenance services.

  • Enter and maintain new preventative maintenance customer orders into the database including account status checks.

  • Provide as a backup to dispatch, parts and billing as needed.

Position Requirements:
Education, Knowledge, Training, Experience, Licenses, Certification

  • High School Graduate, including English speaking ability

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word preferred.

  • 2+ years customer service experience, included problem resolution and effective communication skills.

  • Able and willing to access the necessary resources (for example, product catalogs, department peers and other employees) to meet customer requirements and resolve customer issue.

This person supports our Safety Department and facilities by coordinating the company's safety programs to ensure compliance with all Federal, State and local OSHA regulations and company policies. This person is also responsible for coordinating program functions to ensure that all paperwork is processed and filed in a timely manner and in accordance with company policy. * Ensure safety compliance in the plants to State and federal health and safety standards. * Conducts routine and follow-up safety and hazard inspections of facilities. * Handle unsafe work conditions, practices and behaviors through workplace auditing. Document the findings, identify appropriate actions to be taken, and follow through on ensuring abatement of individual issues. * Assess employee safety training needs, create and implement use of training materials and/or outsource training as necessary. * Assess employee PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) needs and support purchasing and improvements initiatives as necessary. * Maintain records of facilities inspections, corrective actions, training documentation, and maintain appropriate document control. * Ensure that Lock-Out-Tag-Out-Verify program is taught and used 100%. * Promote and work effectively with management and hourly team members on all shifts to maintain a safe work environment and to develop new initiatives. * Lead site safety committee and ensure ongoing active participation with team members. Mentor team leaders and other personnel to become actively involved in committee matters. * Work with Workers Compensation carrier to conduct cost effective and relevant handling of all workers compensation claims. Document, report and track claims per company policy and State regulations. * Obtain and maintain certifications for conducting training for programs such as Powered Industrial Trucks, Scissor Lifts, Fall Protection, etc. * Maintain certifications in CPR/AED/First Aid and support plant/company initiatives in training. * Assists in the development and implementation of safety and environmental programs, policies and procedures in multiple areas of operations in the facilities. * Assist in the development and help conduct the training required for all employees in all areas of health and safety standards. * Assist in the investigation of accidents and incidents to identify their root causes and to determine how they might be prevented in the future and to analyze for trending. * Assist in completing all required documentation, paperwork, and recordkeeping. * Assist with coordination of inspections, assessments, surveys, and program evaluations to identify potential hazards, and ensures compliance with all applicable safety and environmental rules. * Assist EHS Coordinator n all safety and environmental compliance regulation duties. * Assign, bolster and track attendance at monthly safety training sessions. * Assign and track attendance at saftety training sessions for Miracapo locations. * Other duties as assigned. * COMPETENCIES * Ability to develop, implement and enforce safety programs and protocols. * Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. * Ability to gather data, compile information and prepare reports and required documentation. * Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. * DIMENSIONS * Position is responsible for coordinating the safety and environmental programs in all company plants including Elk Grove Village and Gurnee . * SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE * 4-Year College Degree or related field experience equivalent to the degree. * Bilingual (Spanish & English). * 30 Hour OSHA for General Industry Certificate. * Experience dealing with regulatory agencies (i.e. OSHA,EPA, etc). * Competent in the Microsoft Office Suite of products (Word, Outlook, Excel). * ]In Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or related field. * Safety Degree is a plus * As an equal opportunity employer, Miracapo Pizza Company recruits, hires and promotes the most qualified individual, without regard to race, creed, color, age, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, veteran status, marital status or sexual orientation.
