The primary function of the Generator Division Service Coordinator is to review service calls from the prior day and provide quotes to customers for all follow up work written up from the technician in a timely manner. The Service Coordinator then tracks open follow-up quotes and obtains approval from the customer to be scheduled. This position is also to assist with dispatch and scheduling preventative maintenance and emergency customer appointments, as well as, the communication of parts required for each service to the parts department, then assisting to confirm that the parts are available 3 or more days before the schedule work.
Essential Position Functions:
Review prior day work orders and quote all necessary follow up work to the customer in a timely manner.
Track and follow up on quotes to obtain approval from the customer.
Work with parts to ensure all parts are available 3 or more days before the scheduled work.
Renew customer preventative maintenance contracts as needed.
Receive emergency and non-emergency service calls from customers and schedule service technicians as needed.
Schedule customers for their preventative maintenance services.
Enter and maintain new preventative maintenance customer orders into the database including account status checks.
Provide as a backup to dispatch, parts and billing as needed.
Education, Knowledge, Training, Experience, Licenses, Certification
High School Graduate, including English speaking ability
Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word preferred.
2+ years customer service experience, included problem resolution and effective communication skills.
Able and willing to access the necessary resources (for example, product catalogs, department peers and other employees) to meet customer requirements and resolve customer issue.
