Eaton's Power Quality Division is currently seeking a Power Quality Account Engineer to join our team. This position is based at our Asheville, NC facility.

The Power Quality Account Engineer is responsible for pre-sale technical and application support, quotation, and product selection assistance for customers, end users, field sales, distributors, and resellers on designated Power Quality Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS) and related products. In this role, you will deliver exceptional service as the main point of customer contact through a positive attitude, high availability, accuracy, and responsiveness.

  • You will provide efficient and accurate pre-sale technical support by evaluating customer needs and recommending solutions.

  • You will analyze customer power systems and load requirements, interrupting customer specifications, drawings, and schematics to select appropriate units for customer applications and build Bill of Material (BOM)

  • You will provide quotations per customer requirements according to channel pricing structures

  • You will manage and administer pricing programs such as deal registrations and special discounts

  • You will communicate sales leads to field sales organization and product line

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution required

  • Minimum 1 year of professional experience in sales, customer support, marketing, or engineering

  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without out company sponsorship, now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering with an electrical focus preferred

  • 1 year customer service experience

  • 1 year electrical industry experience

  • 1 year of software industry experience

This person will be responsible for optimizing factory costs, quality, and customer service through the conception, development, and implementation of new or improved manufacturing processes, equipment, tooling, material flow, plant layout, or product design. Principal Duties & Responsibilities: * Provide technical support and troubleshooting for manufacturing processes and equipment * Coordinate and implement training initiatives to support manufacturing * Recognize and propose design changes to improve manufacturability * Participate in process improvement teams * Develop processes, procedures and supporting documentation to enhance cost, quality and customer service while ensuring safety and compliance with government regulations * Major drivers include productivity, material utilization, value engineering, lead time management, schedule attainment, and improved throughput * Purchase and implement tooling and equipment to support daily operations * Support and participate in value engineering initiatives * Identify and implement improvements to material utilization, cell layout and machinery efficiency * Provide summarized data to influence key management decisions relating to budgeting, staffing, and capacity planning * Participate in Lean initiatives Job Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in an Engineering field or similar required * Between 2-4 years of work experience is desired.
