Position Specific Description
As one of the largest and cleanest power companies in the United States, NextEra Energy, has a clear point of view on many of the energy policy issues facing the nation. This position sits within the Power Generation Division which is responsible for all of NextEra Energy's non-nuclear generation operations, exceeding 40,000 megawatts (MW) of installed capacity. The plant is located in the Borough of Sayreville, in central New Jersey, It is a 315-megawatt combined cycle gas-fired power plant.
Employees in this role are responsible for the assessment, management, and planning of activities to ensure all plant equipment is operational and available to support plant production requirements. This includes technical support for daily operations, plant and process improvements, equipment acquisition, plant breakdown and analysis, and recommending corrective actions.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
Trains production personnel
Ensures that all production activities are completed in a safe and environmentally responsible manner
Conducts activities in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and consistent with PGD policies, procedures, and practices
