The Performance Architecture team is responsible for all aspects of performance evaluation including prediction, analysis, profiling estimation, measurement and architecture-optimization activities that enable the development of high-performance, power-efficient cores, SoCs and systems by Samsung's Austin Research Center (SARC).
Role and Responsibilities
We are seeking power and thermal modeling engineers with a strong background in core power and thermal modeling, power/thermal measurement at both core and system levels, and power emulation. Other areas of expertise needed include defining power-performance requirements for end-use platforms, performance correlation, software optimization, and modeling infrastructure and tools.
Skills and Qualifications
Desired Skills and Experience Candidates are required to have knowledge and expertise in one or more of the following specialty areas:
Experience with architecture-level power modeling methods. Good understanding of CPU micro-architecture.
Experience with model error analysis using statistical methods. Experience with programming in R, Python, and C++. Experience with Linux and Android power management. Experience with characterization and improvement of run time power and thermal management algorithms.
Experience with Linux DVFS governor and scheduler. Hands-on experience with silicon power and thermal characterization.
Education Required: Master's degree in computer science or computer engineering with at least 3 years of experience
