The Power Market Consultant will utilize knowledge in the electric utilities power generation and transmission industry to perform tasks for client project portfolio generation and transmission planning decisions. The consultant will perform a broad range of studies and other consulting services to help clients make decisions backed by business and engineering analysis. This role will contribute to the execution of technical studies and work with project managers to lead the technical execution for projects.+ Perform a broad range of studies and other consulting services to support electric utilities and asset developers to make decisions backed by business and engineering analysis regarding their investments and power supply requirements, such as integrated resource planning, market assessments, valuations and power supply RFP evaluations.+ Perform forecasts and evaluations utilizing power supply planning software such as capacity optimization and hourly dispatch software models.+ Conduct data analysis and interpretation of engineering, financial, and economic conditions and results, and subsequent technical business implications to client projects.+ Analyze life-cycle costs by developing and incorporating technical assumptions regarding capital costs, operation and maintenance costs, performance estimates, and economic assumptions and forecasts.+ Conduct technical and business-related risk assessments that evaluate impacts associated with rules implemented by regulatory agencies.+ Develop and conducts detailed financial analysis using a variety of computer-based software.+ Develop technical reports and presentations summarizing results of analysis.+ Develop client presentations, engineering reviews, financial analysis, and contract administration for the design/planning of utility systems.+ Assist project managers in business development activities including proposal development and client relationships.+ Mentor and train other employees on technical and business aspects of projects and the industry.+ Support business lines as required by clients.+ Perform other duties as assigned.+ Comply with all policies and standards.

The expected compensation range for this position is displayed in compliance with all local/state regulations. The expected compensation range for this position is based on a number of factors, including but not limited to individual education, qualifications, prior work experience and work location. The total annual compensation package will consist of a base salary and eligibility to participate in our discretionary year-end incentive bonus program.
