Power Electronic Controls Engineer - Aerospace

Eaton's AER Aerospace Group division is currently seeking a Power Electronic Controls Engineer - Aerospace. This role is based out of our Grand Rapids, MI facility. Relocation is provided within the United States.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $72749.97 - $106699.96 a year. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

What you'll do:

• Electronic Hardware Design: Engage in collaborative design efforts to meet electronic hardware requirements and ensure compliance with industry standards.

• Circuit Modeling and Analysis: Apply your expertise to optimize circuit designs for peak efficiency and manufacturability.

• Prototype Development: Partner with R&D to create and refine prototype electronic circuits.

• Test Case Development: Design test cases to ensure comprehensive evaluation of electronic components.

• Formal Circuit Verification: Perform rigorous circuit performance verification and address any issues identified.

• Innovation and Research: Explore emerging technologies and recommend innovative design solutions.

• Collaboration: Join forces with a diverse team of experts to develop state-of-the-art products.

Qualifications:

Basic (Required) Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.

• Minimum of one (1) year of power electronics, analog and/or motor control engineering experience.

• Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.

• This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience within the Aerospace industry.

• Circuit design experience.

• Electronic circuit design and verification experience.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work with suppliers and offshore resources are essential.

• Ability to develop productive working relationships with functions and organizations outside of Engineering.
