The Azure Hardware group focuses on silicon development for internal consumption in Microsoft. Within Azure Hardware, the Artificial Intelligence Silicon Engineering organization is chartered with building silicon to deliver state of art system on chips and all other required accelerators.

In alignment with our Microsoft values, we are committed to cultivating an inclusive work environment for all employees to positively impact our culture every day. 9 years of related technical engineering experience OR Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field AND 6 years technical engineering experience or internship experience OR Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field AND 4 years technical engineering experience or internship experience OR Doctorate degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field AND 3 years technical engineering experience. This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter. Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering.

Technical familiarity in Product requirements, Architectural tuning, Silicon development, Post-Silicon execution, Platform planning and design including validation platforms and productization platforms. Proficient soft skills to work across multiple teams and drive best in class power delivery solutions. Experience working with ambiguity and lead the teams to develop clear vision and strategy for power delivery.

Silicon Engineering IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $133,600 - $256,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $173,200 - $282,200 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.

Microsoft will accept applications for the role until April 26, 2024. Responsibilities Work with various cross functional teams to include Architecture, Design, Technology, Platform, Firmware and Post-Silicon engineering. Lead the power delivery end to end from the Architecture phase, to overseeing the execution all the way through to silicon productization.

Focus on optimizing Voltage Regulator (VR) to transistor power delivery solution. Work with Poser integrity engineers to ensure robustness of the design. Explore leading solutions in industry and optimize them for usage in Microsoft data center space.
