Company Introduction 9th Way Insignia is a service-disabled, veteran-owned small business bringing transformative technology to our government customers so they can achieve their missions.  Our specialties include cybersecurity, cloud modernization, software development, data analytics, enterprise architecture, enterprise IT, analytics, and artificial intelligence.  Learn more about 9th Way Insignia at https://9thwayinsignia.com/Team (Project) Introduction The Office of Performance Analysis and Integrity manages and enhances the Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA) Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) which resides on one Oracle M8 Supercluster database and thirteen application servers.  Our team provides the technical services required to sustain EDW applications to include Project Management, Data Warehouse Management, Advanced Analytics, Tableau Server Administration/Tableau Desktop Administration, Technical Collaboration Support, Lessons Learned, Executive Orders and Special Projects, Architectural Enhancement, and Cloud Migration. We also provide management, enhancement, integration, implementation, maintenance, modernization, and infrastructure support for EDW applications as well as enhancement and maintenance of business intelligence capabilities and predictive analytics.  9th  Way Insignia is looking for a Developer experienced in Power BI tools and development to join this team.  Professional Level Information:As an Engineer 1, your duties may include assisting in the design, development, and testing project components, identifying problems and discovering solutions, working on ongoing projects based on specifications or drawings, and collaborating with teams of other engineers. Typically performs multiple engineering-related tasks in various assignments within the project and firm. An Engineer, 1 has strong technical skills and background, a knack for learning new technologies, and a blend of good problem-solving and innovation needed to resolve a wide variety of technical production challenges. 

Functional Job (L
CAT) Information: 

A Power BI Developer must be able to create logical and functional software code in a variety of languages. Must have experience in understanding and articulating the benefits and risks associated with different coding languages in different functional environments. Must have experience reacting to problems and correcting the program as necessary. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Produce and maintain PowerBi reports. 

  • Structure data in PowerBI. 

  • Engineer and develop PowerBI capabilities to align with existing and emerging requirements. 

  • PowerBI system design, modernization and innovate solution experience 

  • Participate in team calls and meetings. 

  • Provides accurate and timely status reports on the progress of assigned tasks. 

  • Provides data and performance metrics for official reporting deliverables. 

  • Coach and mentor lesser experienced junior developers. 

  • Creates and maintain documentation on Power BI processes and procedures, and participate in period reviews of existing processes. 

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical Discipline, an additional 8 years of experience considered in lieu of degree. 

  • 5+ years' experience in Oracle BI reporting products, especially OBIEE and data warehousing BI solutions. 

  • Expertise in BI Data Visualization. 

  • Expertise in Data Modeling. 

  • Experience transferring reports to/from PowerBI. 

  • Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. 

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the required security clearance. 

Salary Range: The salary range for this position is $75,995 - $89,000 9th Way Insignia’s range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
