Position Overview: Manage the production engineering and manufacturing activities to optimize the manufacturing cost of the assigned product line(s). Ensure that manufacturing operations perform at budget, meet forecasted sales and scheduled shipments, and produces a product that meets established quality standards and customer expectations. Mentor and supervise Manufacturing Engineers.

Responsibilities Would Include:

  • Mentor and Manage team which can/will include Engineering, Quality and Supervision

  • Support development projects & initiatives

  • Assure safe operating procedures and conditions are maintained throughout the assigned areas

  • Lead efforts in process/equipment problem solving and process improvement through effective prioritization of engineering and manufacturing resources

  • Use of TCT methodology, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma tools to achieve financial, operational, inventory, and productivity objectives

  • Provide product technical assistance and problem-solving support to sales representatives and directly to customers

  • Assure accuracy of product/process specifications and procedures, as well as master data in SAP (bill of materials and routings, etc…)

  • Assist with and participate in ISO and other relevant certifications

  • Monitor materials, inventories, and process parameters to ensure on-time delivery and first pass-yield goals are achieved

  • Ensure KPI Targets and P&L objectives for relevant areas are achieved

  • Manage capital projects within budgeted guidelines

  • Maintain an effective cost-reduction program via process/product modification and development

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • BS Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
  • 5 - 10 years experience in a leadership role in manufacturing required.

Additional Requirements:

  • Strong engineering background with manufacturing experience

  • Demonstrated success as a manager and leader is essential

  • Computer skills, especially with SAP, WORD, EXCEL, and the SAP PM System essential

  • Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • In order to conform with U.S. government regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)3, or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State. *
