WestRock in Orlando, FL is seeking an experienced Powder Coater to join our team today on 2nd Shift

Our Automated Packaging Systems (APS) team based in Orlando, Florida, designs and manufactures more than 80 custom and standard machines for our customers in a variety of markets that range from produce to medical supplies.

Shift: 2nd

Pay: $21 and up based on experience

Overview: To be successful you must have knowledge and experience with Industrial Sandblasting equipment and Powder Coat equipment and procedures to manufactures specification. 1 year minimum Powder coat and sandblasting experience required. Must demonstrate skill to match colors in shading, two-toning, allowing for changes in color during drying or baking.

In this role you will:

• Work safely, follow all safety practices

• Perform a variety of operations to remove burrs or sharp edges, clean surfaces on light or average weight parts

• Use various sanders, files, scrapers, solvents and other hand tools

• Mix a variety of standard coating materials to proper consistency, adding solvents

• Prepare surfaces and apply standardized coatings by spray techniques to obtain required finish, where color is pre-matches or pre-determined

• Distribute parts to cure finishes and touch up marred surfaces as required

• Follow company guidelines for proper disposal of paint related materials

• To spot and blend surfaces

• Maintaining inventory of paint supplies

• Promptness, follow work schedule

• Cleanup of work area and shop as needed or directed

Requirements:

• Experience with Powder coating and sandblasting in an industrial environment

• Ability to work 1st shift

• Availability for Overtime
