Powder Coat Painter

Job Description Powder Coat Painter will be expected to safely set up and operate powder application equipment including powder guns, hopers, and powder booths while painting various shapes and sizes of steel and aluminum components on a moving conveyor line. Position Responsibilities Powder Coat Painter will work with the Powder Coat Paint Lead to ensure all parts are properly painted and work instructions are followed precisely.

Painter will set up and safely operate all production equipment while maintaining set quality standards which meet or exceed customer expectations. Painter will make needed adjustments to the painting process to ensure quality parts are produced at all times. Maintain powder levels in production paint hoppers throughout the day.

Cleaning powder booths and removing waste powder. Maintain an exceptionally clean environment at all times. Track powder usage for all production runs.

Qualifications Minimum 3-5 years of powder coat painting experience. Must be able to work positively in a team environment. Be able to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, job shop environment.

Must be organized, detail oriented, and dependable. Must have safety shoes – steel toed. Must be able to complete a 90-day probationary period.

Language Ability: Ability to read and interpret documents such as shop orders, purchase orders, and production documentation. Ability to complete pick lists, purchase orders, schedules and assigned reports.

Ability to communicate effectively with vendors and other employees of the organization. Math Ability: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to multitask and remain organized in a dynamic environment. Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software; Project Management software.
