MRI is looking for an experienced Paint Line Operator, with hours of 6:00am to 2:30pm, Monday through Friday.
This position involves all levels of painting for all manufactured parts in the plant.
MRI is the worldwide leader specializing in the design, manufacturing, and TUV certification of ruggedized large format LCD displays for indoor and outdoor applications. MRIs underlying foundation is based on engineering disciplines comprised of mechanical, electrical, systems, optical, software, PCB layout, production, and test. Additionally, every year the plant shuts down before Christmas and opens back up after the New Year.Responsibilities Include:
- Working with Daily schedule of Paint Line using system MRP report.
- Starts burn off oven, wash system, and paint line every morning.
- Monitoring finished parts, color changes, and monorail system.
- Prep work prior to powder coating.
- Perform all functions that support the powder coat line including management of hooks, racks, and load bars.
- Operate any equipment needed to perform the job.
- Strict adherence to standard work.
- Perform post quality inspection processes for paint parts.
- Assist team members in other areas if needed to meet daily production goals.
- Work with paint line employees to best develop and effectively complete work.
- Promote and support the maintenance of a safe, accident-free, and healthy work environment
- Knowledge of, or ability to learn how to maintain all equipment in the paint line in order to keep line running and up to quality standards company requires.
- Coordinates with other departments on daily scheduling.
Requirements
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with HMI or PLC controlled manufacturing systems.
- Experience with powder coating equipment.
- Experience in a job shop environment including quality control systems, management principles and practices, manufacturing processes, equipment and scheduling and inventory control methods
- Must be able to troubleshoot product related problems, manage and prioritize numerous concurrent tasks, and manage work.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Continuous improvement and problem-solving mindset.
- Strong leadership skills with the desire to drive change.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office package and working knowledge/experience with MRP systems a must.
- Associate or bachelors degree in a manufacturing field.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years experience in manufacturing.
- Ability to use a computer system.
- Capable of lifting 55 pounds.
- Must be able to use a respirator.
- Must be able to work in a standing position for 8 hours a day.
- Good visual acuity.
- Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment including exposure to powder paint dust, hot/cold temperatures, and unpleasant smells.
