Postdoctoral Researcher - Heliophysics & Planetary Missions

Objectives of this Role: Support in-lab instrumentation design, testing, and development. Perform SIMION and SRIM simulations to support ongoing and new projects.

Collaborate with SwRI diverse research teams and publish in high impact, peer-reviewed journals. Daily and Monthly Responsibilities: Carry out original research in experimental space physics and related data analysis.

Support the development, testing, and calibration of instruments to be flown on upcoming heliophysics or planetary missions. Interact with SwRI staff engaged in a broad range of observational, computational, and theoretical research in the physics of the heliosphere. Participate in internal group meetings, present results in relevant conferences, and publish results in peer-reviewed journals.

Requirements: Requires a PhD in Space Physics, Plasma Physics or a related field with related graduate work. 0 years: Experience in designing and operating low energy neutral atom detection systems. Familiarity with laboratory equipment for particle detection. A valid/clear driver's license is required.
