The University of Georgia seeks an innovative postdoctoral associate seeking to leverage their scientific acumen while developing new expertise in the areas of innovation, intellectual property and technology transfer. This position is within Innovation Gateway, UGA's commercialization program in the Office of Research, which encompasses the University's intellectual property licensing and startup support functions to ensure that research discoveries reach their full potential for public benefit. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated, detail-oriented self-starter who is ready to join a highly-ranked, dynamic technology transfer office.
Relevant/Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification in Position
A PhD or equivalent graduate degree in a scientific discipline relevant to UGA's research portfolio. Successful completion of an internship in a technology transfer unit or equivalent experience in research commercialization.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies
Demonstrated ability to independently manage multiple projects.
Physical Demands
Sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, lifting up to 20 lbs. and carrying up to 20 lbs.
