Advertised Job Summary
The Post-Doctoral Fellow will conduct research and assist with project coordination in the field of power electronics: Focus will be on scalable power electronic converters, their integration into microgrids, and control techniques for power electronics-based systems.
Required Education and Experience
A Doctoral (Ph.D.) degree in Electrical Engineering
Preferred Qualifications Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Knowledge of power electronics (i.e. DC/DC converters, charging systems, DC/AC inverters, etc.), control and optimization strategies and Matlab/Simulink.
Excellent scientific track record and communication skills (speaking and writing).
Ability to work both in a team and independently while carrying out complex tasks.

Develops power electronic converter systems and controls techniques for energy management in microgrid systems.

Provides supervision and oversight in research tasking for the graduate students working on my research projects. Check that the tasks are properly and completely done with respect to the research task objectives and help guide students in areas where they may lack sufficient research expertise to complete tasking effectively.

Performs as a technical manager of the activities within power and energy systems projects.
Assists in the day to day planning and organization of sub-groups of the research team to ensure progress of ongoing tasks within each research project.
