We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated scientist to join our translational biology team as a postdoctoral fellow. The candidate will focus on developing therapeutics for rare diseases using our proprietary LNP-nucleic assay delivery platform, and will be responsible for management, design, and execution of in vivo and in vitro studies.
Responsibilities and duties include, but not limited to
Design, execute and interpret preclinical in vitro and in vivo studies in support of multiple programs.
Manage pharmacology research studies at CROs and/or external collaborators.
Lead in vivo model development and characterization.
Contribute to target discovery and proposals for novel rare disease therapeutics.
Work closely and collaborate with various teams to coordinate and manage rare disease programs.
PhD degree in a scientific discipline with a proven track record of innovative research,including publications in scientific journals. Additional postdoctoral experience is preferred.
Extensive hands-on experience with murine models, experience with multiple routes of administration in rodents, including IV, SC, and Lung delivery routes are a plus.
Hands-on experience with cell culture, ELISA, enzymatic activity assays, PCR and Western Blot.
Demonstrated record of independence in experimental design, execution, interpretation, and presentation
Familiarity with murine disease models, liver and lung disease experience preferred.
Proficiency in the use and development of new mouse models.
Prior experience with nucleic acid therapy and lipid nanoparticle delivery is preferred.
Excellent organization skills with strong attention to details.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Comfortable and able to be successful and productive in a fast-paced biotech environment.
