Our research group is diverse and collaborative, and we seek to produce top notch science and foster the development of outstanding, independent scientists through critical but nurturing mentorship and interdisciplinary, collaborative efforts.Qualifications * PhD in genetics, computational biology, molecular/cell biology, or other quantitative science Expertise processing, analyzing, and interpreting large genomics datasets, including epigenome (ATAC-seq, ChIP-seq) and transcriptome (RNA-seq) profiles from multiple cell types/tissues is essential. Demonstrated proficiency with integrated genomics analyses preferred. Ideal candidates would also have bench skills that would allow them to generate genomics datasets and functionally test hypotheses generated from analyses. Prior research experience in at least two of the following areas: Quantitative genetic or genomic analyses (e.g., eQTL, caQTL, or allelic imbalance), CRISPR/Cas9 (epi)genome editing, single cell genomics, islet or beta cell biology, genomics, iPS/ES culture and directed differentiation Track record of productivity supported by first-author publications in peer-reviewed journals Outstanding writing and communication skills, with an ability to work both independently and within collaborative teams productivelyAbout UsThe Jackson Laboratory (JAX) is an independent, nonprofit biomedical research institution with more than 2,200 employees.
