The Postdoctoral Associate is available in the laboratory of Dr. Neil Johnson in the Nuclear Dynamics Program, Fox Chase Cancer Center. Our research aims to understand how common cancer-causing mutations in DNA repair genes impact DNA damage signaling pathways and
the response to anti-cancer therapeutics (https://www.foxchase.org/neil-johnson). Research involves mammalian tissue culture and mouse models of cancer. Candidates should be comfortable with handling and carrying out experiments involving mice.

The Postdoctoral Associate is a training post wherein the postdoc conducts independent original research under the mentorship of FCCC/ICR faculty with the goal of becoming an independent successful scientist. The Associate gains independence by: performing experiments, analyzing resultant data, publishing original findings, applying for funding, communicating results in presentations at the Center and at conferences, mentoring students, and through participation in leadership and administrative activities offered through Academic Affairs.

Doctorate Degree : PhD in Physical or Biological Sciences (MD acceptable in lieu of PhD) (Required)
