A Postdoctoral Associate position is available in the laboratory of Jorge Moscat. The Postdoctoral Associate will study the mechanisms that control the immunological and stromal responses in the tumor microenvironment of colorectal cancer. The project is based on the lab's recent publication on this topic: Nakanishi et al., 2018, Immunity 49, 11321147.
Dr. Moscat's Laboratory is focused on the study of signaling pathways that regulate inflammation and cell proliferation, and their interface with metabolism, which are central in the control of tumor initiation and progression, as well as the development of metastasis. The lab is interested in the study of these pathways in the context of the role and mechanism of action of a number of signaling molecules including the atypical PKCs and the autophagy adaptors p62 and NBR1.

Independently design and perform experiments with evolving project priorities

Ph.D. degree in biological science is required
Previous Postdoc training is a plus but is not required
The qualified candidate must have proven expertise in this area
Strong background in immunology preferred
Experience in mouse models is preferred
