U-Haul is looking for skilled and proficient individuals to perform equipment final inspection within the U-Haul Repair Shops.

Primary functions include:

  • Verify all required maintenance and repairs have been performed.

  • Report corrections and/or adjustments to the result of incomplete repairs or parts in questions.

  • Ensures that all U-Haul equipment is safe, reliable and ready for rent.

  • Increase the quality of work performed.

  • Complete Part/Labor Verification Checklist to provide feedback to the shop manager.


  • Must understand PM Inspections and services, parts, labor operations, campaigns, technical publications and equipment warranties.

  • Must be able to perform any adjustments or small repairs found during final inspection.

  • Prior knowledge of automotive mechanics.

  • Valid driver's license and a good driving record to operate a motor vehicle. Adhere to all local vehicular regulations while driving. Adhere to all local state and federal vehicular regulations while driving.

  • U-Haul drivers that operate service vehicles and/or rental trucks with a GVWR of 10,001 lbs. or more or a combination of vehicles (truck and trailer) with a GCWR of 10,001 lbs. or more are required to have a driver qualification file. A medical certificate from a federally registered medical examiner must be obtained to be a U-Haul CMV driver.


  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Work Environment:

  • The work involves moderate risks or discomforts which require special safety precautions, e.g., working around moving parts or machines, fumes or irritant chemicals. (May be required to use protective clothing, or gear such as masks, goggles, gloves or shields.)

Physical Demands:

  • The work requires some physical exertion such as long periods of standing, walking, recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching or similar activities, and lifting a minimum of 50 lbs assisted or unassisted.

Position Summary: North America Sales Manager, Product Inspection The North America Sales Manager, Product Inspection is responsible for developing the sales team and delivering revenue growth for the Chemical Analysis Division's Product Inspection business for North America. Remotely based in any major US city. Key Responsibilities: * Develops and maintains sales operating plan for territory that includes opportunity map, target accounts, forecast, sales strategies and tactics, resource requirements. * Understands the strengths and vulnerabilities of major competitors and develops sales strategies to respond effectively. * Develops profile of sales roles required and the competencies for each role to maximize performance in region. * Ensures that sales operating plan is consistent with overall business goals. * Provides input into Annual Operating Plan and participates in planning and review meetings. * Conducts win/loss reviews to identify and share best practice. * Reviews regional performance against expectations continuously. * Ensures that management is provided with realistic sales forecasts and is kept aware of any significant changes or developments. * Ensures that sales pipeline is filled with opportunities at various stages of sales cycle. * Develops a strong, results-driven, team-oriented culture (e.g. recognition of key wins, team events, etc.). * Hires and develops sales team with appropriate skills and experience to meet performance expectations. * Provides feedback on performance and coaches each sales representative based on individual strengths and development areas. Minimum Requirements/Qualifications: * Bachelor's Degree, advanced degrees preferred. * 5+ years of sales experience with a documented track record of success. * 2+ years as a people manager with a documented track record of developing high-performing sales teams. * Must have sold or managed teams that have sold capital pieces of equipment. * Ability to travel 50%+ across North America.
